7.3 with no power brakes

Any tricks to this? Got a 97 with hydroboost brakes that run on vacuum. I had brakes in Asheville and none when I reached black mountain.

Going to get the all the vacuum testing stuff from a shop and play with it today. Any shortcuts would save me some weekend time!
 
master cylinder has plenty of fluid.

I drove about 2 miles (after realizing no brakes) and turned onto my street and hit he brakes a bit before turning and had power brakes for a moment the back to the flintstones.

Vacuum tests should tell me if I have vacuum at the booster and how much. If that is the case the booster is bad, right? No vacuum at booster and the vacuum pump is bad, right?

New turf for me on this one...
 
its your vacuum pump. and you have vacuum boost brakes not hydro boost that's only 99+ I mean it could be the booster itself but more likely the pump. as far as tricks I fell like you just pull the line off the pump or something and see if it's sucking or not.

happen to me on my 97, was driving and then went to slow down to turn and about went right past my turn.
