Cool. I wonder how executives will manage to make it lame/boring similar to the “new” ranger

I've been hearing about the "new" Bronco since about 2002. I don't care anymore. I'm sure it will be gay.

Saw that, thought it looks pretty BA, and then immediately, "What are the chances the road version looks anything at all like this?"
You can bet thats about as similar to a production Bronco as a Jeepspeed 3700+ class is a production XJ.

I thought I read that the "baby bronco" is based on the exploder while the bronco proper is a body on frame design. I also didn't read what was in the link to see if that was written in there...

The front of the BAJA Bronco reminds me of the 60's EB. The back however does not. I hope it's not as bad as the Blazer.....

The front looks like a Ford Flex.

I think it really depends on Ford's objective. They can make a vehicle to sell to the masses (like the new blazer) or make some racing/specialty/limited production type vehicle (like the raptor).

This choice will give you vastly different vehicles, IMO, based on the current SUV platforms.

I've been waiting on someone to give jeep a run for it's money. The jk's and the jl's are selling as fast as they can make them, somebody has to get in on that market. The Blazer and Bronco would be the perfect platform. It wouldn't even have to be solid axle front to appeal to the masses, just a nice look with removable top and doors.

Been following it for a while, and I'm honestly pretty dis-pointed in it. To me its looking like the next FJ Cruzier. Definitely not the jeep fighter they promised.

You would think the success of the JL and the JT would open their eyes.....

for those that dont follow the bronco and fords decade long quest to recast the name....

there will be two version built.

the Bronco Scout or Bronco Adventure to be built off the Ford Escape platform (see fugly pictures above also side note, the badging on those says "blazer")

and the Bronco to be built on the ranger platform (see Bronco R pictures in original post)

why in the hell they are tagging the name Bronco Scout onto the escape is beyond me.

The blazer was a real let down. Even worse than the transition from the K5 to the sdime blazer.

That's because that IS the new Blazer. It was a joke that apparently flew 30k ft above several folks head

Not sure why anyone would think that the new bronco would do anything but cater to the soccer moms and guys that think to themselves ‘this could be useful, I drive in wet grass’. Otherwise, similarly to the Gladiator, this is what I’m seeing from The collective innernet right now...

They will do the one that will make the most money.
    E.g. not the niche vehicle.

Yet the niche vehicle is certainly the one making the most money. Simple components, low tech, low grade finishes, massive demand, charge $50k for it=profit

Like most Bronco folks, I’m tired of the ‘new Bronco’ lore. I don’t have any faith in what Ford will offer up and the 2020 model year is well underway already. They’ve had 20 years to come up with something. Maybe they are waiting for a half-year reveal but who will really care about another grocery getter that only shares a name with a cool 50 year old vehicle.

I can't even figure out which concept bronco I liked because there are 1,000's of concept bronco's from the last 20 years.

whatever they come out with we will all surely be disappointed with it.
