Did you Not get the Max towing pkg? It comes with Trailer mirrors. Unless they changed something, that's what kept me From going with Max towing. I wanted standard mirrors. IF, I had understood how simple it would be to change them, I would have taken the Max pkg, just for the Tad better diff ratio.

Shewee that's a nice truck. I didn't realize the big mirrors were an option when I bought mine.

My issue with the max tow package was you could not get the Z71 package with the very soft locker in the rear and skid plates. Both items I wanted due to the parking situations at the places we go wheeling and my hunting land.

But I wanted the tow mirrors...so much better for towing and daily driving in my opinion. So I did my research, learned you could swap the mirrors. So when I bought the truck I gave the dealership all the part numbers they needed to swap over to the tow mirrors. I also have all the parts to swap back to the standard mirrors. Those parts will go with the truck.

If anyone is interested in doing a mirror swap...I found all the information here...

Out of curiosity, what is the gear ratio in the axles? When I was shopping for a new rig a few years back, I couldn't configure the 6.2l or the 3.73 gear without the max package......so I bought a dodge with the 3.92 and called it a day.

6.2 only comes in half tons, & with 8 sp. auto. Standard diff is probably still 3.23. Max towing drops to 3.42 [big deal]. There trying to optimize the mpg, which is btw, Very Good. They also got like a 4.56 first gear, for Launch, & a double overdrive for mileage. I hear the New 10 sp, first is somewhere like 5.0! 3/4 & 1 tons, you can get 3.73 & down, but with the 6.0 & 6 sp. This info may be out dated now.
