Yesterday’s progress. The link kit is a Barnes4x4 triangulated upper with a parallel lower. I decided to triangulate both. The bar across the frame rails is 1.75” .188 wall and it will clear the driveshaft. I left enough space in case I run a doubler in the future.

Just seals and oil. It’s too early to know what I need “valving” wise.

A day in the shop. Had a session with the cutting tools. I really hated cutting so much out of the body but it is small and it needs it. Should have just built a buggy chassis instead........

Doved in the rear in a bit. I shortened the tailgate 8 inches.

Air shocks finally. Hopefully this weekend I will get some more tube bracing installed in the rear, pull axle and links out for final welding, paint.

Swapped out the mockup 3rd with my spooled v6 3rd. Welded up the brackets. Prepped the links for welding.

So I sent of my rear links out to get welded professionally. I sent them to Adam @Southern83. Of course I had to display them in my kitchen like @BigSouth to be a baller. Haha

Nice. Welds are awesome. You must be single or married to a unicorn......not nearly enough crap on that counter to have a women around.

Unicorn with OCD haha. Plus we don’t have kids yet and we just sold our shoebox size house for this one. Not a whole lot got moved into the kitchen.

Adam did a fantastic job on the welds. The Heim joints spin with ease.

I swung by the shop this afternoon. Everything is looking good!

Welded up the added tube work on the rear yesterday. I finally installed the links. One photo shows full bump. Moving to the front with some demo.

Talked to Barnes4x4 today ready to order the front kit and their equipment is all down for maintenance...two week minimum wait time to even place an order. Disappointing but it’s a part of it.

Not much progress lately. Work has kept me busy and I have been doing a lot of side jobs. But I lucked out for sure. I waited for over a month to order my front link kit from Barnes. I checked 3 times a day on their website for it to say that it was in stock haha. The morning of July 4th, I pulled up the site and it was finally on stock. I received it last week with the DOM. Just need to get going on it.

My front air shocks should be in next Friday too.
