The First Annual Uwharrie Fall Jamboree will be held at the Uwharrie Offroad Training Center, along with the 7th Annual Uwharrie Mountain Festival and the "Run to the Country" Car & Bike Show.

Scott Fields and the UORTC will again host the Jamboree (the Spring event took place March 31, 2012). There will be a ATV & UTV test track with driving demonstrations, a swap meet area, dealer and vendor booths. Helicopter rides will be provided by Charlotte Helicopters. The US Forest Service and Tread Lightly will also be on hand.

The East Coast Offroad Racing Series is sponsoring 4x4 Field Games with trophies and prizes. A driving competition that tests driver skill and driver/co-driver communication, the games include a "Balance Beam," "Ball and Post," "Blind Dog Run," "Nudge the Jug," "Roll to the Line," and "Slalom Run."

The spring event, which coincided with the opening of the trails for the season, was a lot of fun for wheelers and families and the fall event will be even bigger and better!

Scott Fields is the Manager/Chief Instructor for the Uwharrie Offroad Training Center in Troy, NC. Located across Highway 109 from the Eldorado Outpost, his mission is to "provide off-road training in a safe, professional and fun environment." His website says, "Invest in your skills First, your vehicle Second!"

Check out the OHV trails at Uwharrie National Forest, UORTC and the Eldorado Outpost at 4021 NC Hwy 109 N Eldorado, NC 27371, on October 13, 2012.

John? You've done some Digging, to find That. You might want to double check the Dates [2012]. Not to say it won't come around again, but may have a different name or theme, this year. There is also a Jeep Jamboree, & other events, that may replace the 2012 event. Not the First time a Real Old post has mistakenly been pulled!
