FJ40 buggy

Here are some progress pics of my FJ40 buggy project. Jim (Rockmafia) tubed the back-half and did a 4-link in the rear with air shocks. Now I have to make a new tranny/t-case crossmember, clock the t-case, fab floorboards, plumb the fuel cell and rear brakes, wire the battery and tail lights, run exhaust, etc.
This is the Cruiser before:

Here it is after stripping it to take to Jim's:

After cutting the body tub and rear of frame off:

4-linked rear:

Tubing started:

It looked decent before, but the body tub wasn't in great condition. And I wanted to get rid of the leaf springs in the rear.

The wheels in the last pics are temporary, just to mock up the 42s. I have 17" beadlocks for it that will be going on soon.

No way.. We need an "Off-camber Cruiser Canary".. We'll get him some OCC stickers and he'll be pimpin..

What is an "off-camber cruiser canary", you ask? Simple! "I dunno, that's pretty steep, we might roll.." "Well let's find out how bad it is! Send in the canary!"

looks very nice. you'll love that rear susp. after wheeling on leaves so long. that is assuming the guy who set it up got the triangulation of the coeficient of the speration ratio correct so as to offset the anti squat into the hook up per sq. inch of tire contact and therefor avoid axle steer.
also, cut off that stinger looking front tube work, it must weigh what.....40lbs?

dam right they are....i'd love to add one to mine but can't afford the extra weight, that would put me at 6240lbs. i don't think i would be able to crawl anything then-strictly momentum
