Rally kicks a$$. Those guys would love the back roads and dirt roads around here im sure. They definately put turning left (nascar) to shame!

WRC *IS* the ultimate form of racing IMO.

The cars bristle with as much tech as F1 (well, except the engine), but the drivers storm down narrow 1 lane roads at insane speeds, that they have not been allowed to practice on!

I agree, and also disagree. Yes, the P-D cars need to be WELL built and are bad-ass, but I've seen those cars up close and they just don't have that last "little bit", since endurance racing doesn't depend on speed as much as durability.. Does that make sense?

However, anyone doing P-D on a motorcycle is THE MAN in my book. That re-defines hardcore.

If you've ever seen that type of race, that's a very possible situation. Those guys are NUTS! They'll flip the car, get out flip it back over fire it back up (if it will) and keep on truckin'. No doubt one of the most awesome auto events out there. The crowds are just as nuts as the drivers too.

Wish I'd saved the link to a video I watched the other day, a rally car comes into a corner to hot, does a slow rollover, lands on it's wheels, rev's it up, sticks it in first and slings dirt as it gets it on down the road, all to the cheering of the crowd!!!

Another thing to note, if they break, they do everything they can to fix it or drive it broken just to finish the stage. There are no pits till they get past the line.
We need a network with things such as wrc, motogp, ama, and other "non mainstream" racing events. I get tired of nascar.

WRC faster cars with more tech. Dakar you can get killed, lost for days, kidnapped, hit a landmine, and lots of other things that are not in the road book.
