8.8 locker in a posi carrier

I have a factory posi in my 8.8 and don't really like it. Can I put a lunch box locker in that carrier? Or do I need a new one?? Thanks..
 
You can, but the carrier will break in half. Better to replace the carrier, even if you put an open diff carrier with a lunchbox in it.
 
You will need an open carrier. I have one for sale if you are interested.
