Anybody have an idea of what scrap cars are bringing per hundred lbs?
~5 us dollars~
5.50 here for shred and 7.00 for cars.
Just took two at $8/lb. Called four places and got anywhere from $2/lb to 8.50/lb.
I was told prices are goin to be back up around $12/100 by spring and he has been pretty close in the past.
Stewart salvage off of sharon school road was paying 5.50 right at thanksgiving, and you dont have to drop the tank or wheels and tires.
can you fill the tank with quikrete?
LOL "Wow, I've never seen an Escort that weighed 4,000 lbs..."
Probably be cheaper to fill it with water. We have seen an drastic increase in scrap steel this month as well. Up to $265 a metric ton.
